However, unlimited access of free music could be stopped after some time.Rdio is currently available in the US and Canada, though support for more regions is coming soon.
Rdio:
Rdio is a music service, where you discover music through your friends and followers. Rdio works in the browser, on the desktop, on Android, BlackBerry, Windows 7 Phone and iPhone smartphones, and on Sonos and Roku systems. With Rdio’s mobile apps, you can sync music and listen, even when you’re offline.
How It Works:
Rdio’s Desktop Apps first finds the file on your computer that describes what is in your iTunes or Windows Media Player library. It reads the file and looks for names of artists, albums and songs and sends those names to Rdio.
The artists, albums or songs you have in your library that Rdio also has in its catalog, will be added to your Rdio Collection. So, it’s a quick and easy way to match the collection you have on Rdio with the one you have on your computer, so you don’t have to start from scratch on Rdio.
Paid Plan:
Rdio Unlimited costs $9.99/month, and supports web, mobile and supported media player use. Rdio Web costs $4.99/month, and supports web use only.
Rdio On Facebook:
With the integration of Rdio on Facebook, Facebook users now have an additional and established platform to share their musical tastes with their friends, regardless of whether or not those friends have an Rdio account.
Each time an Rdio user plays a song, it shows up in their News Feed, Ticker, and Timeline, giving their friends instant access to what they are listening to. By simply connecting their Facebook account with Rdio, existing Rdio users can instantly play or pause a song on Rdio without ever leaving Facebook. For a Facebook user who is not an Rdio subscriber, clicking on a song automatically creates an Rdio account, but only after permission to connect Facebook and Rdio is given. The newly created account includes a free trial to Rdio Unlimited and doesn’t require any downloads or a credit card.
