An opportunity for a British start up :‘Marketing 4 Start Up Britain’ to support new start ups in the UK
MAA and Start Up Britain to run a week of activity in July to bring together start up entrepreneurs and MAA member agencies culminating in an opportunity for a British start up to win the services of a marketing agency for a year.
The initiative, a first of its kind within the sector, is aimed at the UK’s growing entrepreneur community be it those launching new start ups and also those who are looking to understand how marketing can help them to define, develop and grow their business.

The programme of free talks, workshops and seminars will take place run from 4th to 8th July 2011.Activities will take place every day in London, followed by similar sessions in Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh later in the summer.
Marketing 4 Start Up Britain week will include high profile speakers from the business and entrepreneur sector including Barbara Cassani and Mike Soutar (Shortlist.com) taking place at the Hospital Club on Friday 8th July.
Eligibility & Offers:
To provide additional support to new entrepreneurs, a competition is being launched to allow an entrepreneur in a start-up that has been running less than two years, to win an agency for a year. Proximity, Iris, Exposure and RPM are amongst the agencies who have offered their services free of charge to the winning start up company.
A shortlist of ten business owners will then have the opportunity to pitch to a panel of the UK’s most successful business figures including Barbara Cassani and Ian Millner. Entrants will have just ten minutes to impress the panel with the winner being announced on Friday afternoon.R
